KIRRASURF History

Original KIRRASURF Logo
Founded by Kirra local Peter Turner in 1977 KIRRASURF rapidly established itself as a surfers destination. Located in close proximity to Kirra Point - the shop often became the spot where travelling professional surfers could pick up their boards and wetsuits grab a legrope or a block of wax on the way to the point. With a shop that was dedicated to surfing hardware KIRRASURF 's global reputation grew as a must visit for any travelling surfer.

A trip to the gold coast was not complete without a long grinding barrel out Kirra Point and a Kirra Surf tshirt on the way home....Sponsorship and association with elite surfers has always been an intricate part of the KIRRASURF brand.
